Happy Thanksgiving

I may not get another opportunity to wish each of you Happy Thanksgiving. We've been working like trolls trying to get things together for our family. So much has been going on and it's quite tiring trying to keep 'all the balls in the air'. I'm looking forward to being able to relax and enjoy some family time tomorrow and I hope that each of you does the same. Happy Thanksgiving!

AND...

I have some Thanksgiving cards to share. I wanted to make Thanksgiving cards this year, but of course time got away from me. I needed something quick and easy, but still very nice. I came across this card and thought it was perfect for my Thanksgiving stamp. I used some embossing powder that I've had for 20 years, no kidding, 20 years, and it has glitter in it already. It' so so pretty and the sparkle and shine it gives is amazing! I tried photographing it with different angles so I could capture some of the pretty, but to no avail. It was too shiny and my camera didn't like that. If you click on the image, you may be able to see a bit of bling. I made several of these in assembly line style, in no time at all! It's just what I needed. The leaves and wheat are colored with Copics and I threaded the button with a sliver of card stock instead of thread.

I am trying to use the supplies I already own, instead of running about purchasing new ones. So I don't have names for the papers. But the stamp is an old Personal Stamp Exchange image, left over from my Tea Room days. The buttons are Papertrey Ink and the cardstock is Stampin Up! The ribbon is Offray, purchased at Walmart.

Blessings~

I can personally attest to the shine, shimmer and sparkle of that embossing powder with glitter in it! It's gorgeous!

Good for you for trying to use supplies on hand. That's awesome that the ep still worked wonderfully after all that time. *Ü*

I've been blessed to "know" you, Barb and feel honored that you chose to send me one of your beautiful cards. I want to wish you the happiest of Thanksgivings and hope you truly enjoy the day!

Both of your cards are very stylish and elegant Barb. The embossing is beautiful and the layout is clean but very elegant. Beautiful job and your embossing powder held up beautifully!
