2012 Christmas Card Challenge-Week 3

This week Sparkle and her Elves challenged us to create a Christmas card using non-traditional Christmas colors. Here is my take...a combination of soft gray, pink and cream.

Click to see detail. Sooo much prettier! :)
stamp set: Sparkle and Cheer (Taylored Expressions)
patterned paper: Love Me Collection (My Mind's Eye)
card stock: Vintage Cream, Sweet Blush (Papertrey Ink)
ink: Blush (Close to My Heart)  Versamark (Tsukineko)  Tattered Rose Distress Ink (Ranger)
accessories- Kaliedescope embossing powder (JudiKins)  Deckled Edge Nestabilities (Spellbinders)  Snowflake punch (Martha Stewart Crafts)  Blossom Baker's Twine (The Twinery)  Crystal Fine glitter (Martha Stewart Crafts)

Since I had the MME Valentine's paper on my work surface, I thought...why not? There is so much sparkle on this card and it's sad you can't see it. I applied a thin line of glue around the edge of the patterned paper, onto which I sprinkled some crystal fine glitter. I also put glitter on the snowflakes and I embossed the sleigh using glittery ep. Fun!

I am really enjoying my Christmas break. This is the first time in 16+ years that I did not have to cook Christmas dinner! My sister is hosting it this year and I couldn't be more pleased. I've had time to relax, spend quality time with the girls and just soak up the joys of the season. I must confess, I didn't even go all out with decorating this year. And I am JUST fine with that, thank you very much! I put out a few things here and there and of course I have Gold Canyon Candles glowing!

Christmas is sooo close...sure hope you're not on the Naughty List! Thanks for dropping by today!
