Make A Wish

Hello everyone! Today I am entering into a new challenge arena. I am playing along with the talented artists at Mo's Digital Pencil. I love Mo's images and have used them for quite some time. I have shied away from entering the challenges she issues on her blog, because I was not comfortable with my Copic coloring skills. But, since my theme for this year is GROWTH, I decided to forge ahead and push past my insecurities and submit a card for the challenge. This one is entitled, "Anything Goes with a Mo Image". All that was required for this one, was to use one of Mo's digital images...easy enough. Here's my card...

I chose this adorable little winter fairy image. Just look at that pose! I love Mo's images, because they always evoke a smile or tug at my heart strings. This little cutie made me smile. She's printed on Cryogen white card stock and colored with Copics. I've glittered her wings and sprinkled on a few sparkly snowflakes for an extra winter-y feel. The focal image has been die-cut and matted with oval nesties. I lightly sponged a bit of blue around her while the image was still in the die, then I adhered it with dimensional tape. I added a bow and a sentiment tag and called it finished.

Well, my sweet friend, I am SO very proud of you for stepping out of your comfort zone to participate in the challenge. Personally, I don't think you need to be insecure at all about your coloring skills as this adorable image looks fantastic to me! I agree that Mo's images do evoke smiles and heartstring tugs. Well worth the effort to color, that is for sure. You are awesome and so is your card!
