Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello Friends! This is certainly the most wonderful time of year for me. I love this Holiday Season...Thanksgiving and Christmas. Today I am sharing the Thanksgiving card I created. I kept the design simple, so it would be easy to mass produce. Once I started working on the card, I realized that, for a 'simple' card, it had a lot of steps. I like the end result, though.

I random stamped leaves onto a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock. The trees were stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with Early Espresso embossing powder. Then I sponged on various inks to create an 'autumn' sky. The focal panel was matted onto Chocolate Chip card stock and given a BIG blast of shimmer spray. It is sooo sparkly! After adhering the focal panel, I tied on a bit of jute and then I created the inside.

I did more random stamping and sponging on this panel also. I just love that 'water splotch' stamp in the French Foliage stamp set. I stamped the greeting and called it done.

Barb, your card is exquisite, and I feel blessed to have received one from you. The way you combined the ink colors and the various papers is genius. The shimmer is a perfect touch. You even stamped trees on the envelope! I trust you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration.
