Hello Friends! Happy Tuesday. It's November 13th! Can someone please tell me, where the month has gone? Thanksgiving is NEXT week!! We still have not finalized any plans yet, we are tossing around a few ideas, but we have not settled on anything. All I know is, I need to have some turkey, some stuffing, some green beans and sweet potatoes. And something really yummy for dessert.
Speaking of dessert...The Thursday Challenge on the Meljen's Designs blog is an INSPIRATION PHOTO. And even though it's a wedding cake, I would love to have this beauty on my Thanksgiving dessert table.
I was inspired by the whole photo. I loved the white background. I think the Autumn colors are gorgeous and I was struck by the abundance of green...so fresh. There's a touch of black running thru and then the little pearls wrapped around. And finally, the shape of the cake caught my eye and made me think of the Topsy Turvy Birthday Cake image. And that is what I used for my card...
It's a nice, simple card for an Autumn birthday! I love this image! It's so fun and versatile. I've used it before and you can see that post HERE. It can be dressed up or made whimsical, it can go patriotic or even vintage. If I get some extra time, I just may make up a few more Topsy Turvy cards to share with you.
