Merry Christmas!

Hello Friends! Happy Winter! I am going to take a break from creating until after the New Year, to spend time with my family and friends. Thank you all for your support this year. My two loyal followers Jeanne and Sheila, I appreciate the both of you so much. Your kind words of encouragement on every single post, really made my day!

I have one more card to share for 2012...

It's a shameless copy of  this card, by the very talented Betsy Veldman.  I saw her card last year, bought all the supplies to make some and never got around to it, until this year. I didn't use the exact papers, but I got pretty darn close! Betsy used a die to cut her focal shapes. I don't own that die, so I cut mine from card stock and then used my SU! Ticket Corner punch on the corners to replicate the look Betsy had. I gave each of my focal panels a blast of shimmer spray to add a bit of sparkle to an otherwise flat card. I love silhouette stamps and these two sets are among my favorites.

 I finished off the inside.

I embossed the "Merry Christmas" in gold. It adds a little light and texture to the panel. This is the card that my family members received this year.

That is all I have for now...I look forward to sharing with you in 2013! But, in the meantime...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Blessings~

Oh my goodness, Barb! This is absolutely stunning. Wow! I'm so glad you shared. Your idea about using what you have to replicate the die worked out wonderfully. I love everything you've done.

Thanks so much for always inspiring with your posts, Barb. Enjoy your break and I look forward to seeing your creations in the new year!
