New Release Friday!

Hello Friends! It's Friday and that means that there are new digital stamps at MelJen's Designs! These stamps are soooo cute, I can't wait another moment to share them with you...just LOOK AT THESE!!

ANIMAL CUPCAKES!! What could be sweeter? NOTHING!...I know!!  Three adorable little faces, each one has a wee cherry stuck in the frosting, complete with a leaf! These little cuties bring a big smile to my face. As much as I wanted to have a card for each cupcake, I just didn't have time. There is so much going on for me right now, I'm beginning to feel a little overwhelmed. So, I decided to just take a few steps back and create one card. I chose to work with the Teddy Bear Cupcake...

I printed out and colored all of the cupcakes, and I tell you, they are soooo fun to color! I really enjoy bringing these images to life. I used the 'flicking' coloring technique with my Copics to create the bear's fur. I added Crystal Effects to the cherry, the heart and his eyes. I've had that product for years and never used it, now it seems I can't get enough of it! It's a pretty simple card...I made a rosette for the mat behind the focal image and adhered that with foam tape. I embossed the greeting and added some chocolate pearls. I tied on a bit of baker's twine and my card was finished! I hope to find time over the weekend to make cards for the other two cupcakes.
