Mother's Day Card ~ Blue

Hello Friends! I'm back with another Mother's Day card I made in my class with Caryl.

I love the 'vintage' feel of this one. Dress forms are really trendy right now! I stamped the roses and colored them with ink and a blender pen. I like that technique and I don't use it often enough. It's so easy and simple to do. I just squeezed the ink pad to transfer a bit of ink into the lid, and then I picked up ink with the blender pen and colored the image. As I colored, the ink faded and that created the shading. Look at the pearls at the neckline of the dress form! So sweet. Caryl is VERY creative. The little bloom there, is ivory when purchased from Stampin' Up!. Caryl had us lightly drag it over the ink pad and that is how we colored it...brilliant! The addition of the little pearl in the center was the perfect finishing touch.

That's all I have for today. Thanks for the visit.

Blessings~

Lovely card, Barb. I like all the different details, the pearls, the stamping on the dress form and the whole feel of the card. Sounds like you went to another awesome class!
