Thursday Challenge @ MelJen's

Hello Friends! It's time for another Thursday Challenge on the MelJen's Designs Team blog. Our theme for this week is

BEJEWELED BLISS
Use a lot of bling on your project
Please remember to use a MelJen's Designs image on your creation in order to be included in the random drawing.

You all know this was right up my alley! I chose to feature the Fancy Swirls Peacock

This little beauty was a joy to color. I pulled out my InkTense colored pencils for this one. I just love how these pencils blend with each other. The peacock is colored with four different blues/greens and the branch is colored with three different browns, plus an Antique White. They just melt one into the other, with really no effort at all. The hardest part about using these pencils, is deciding which colors to use! After I colored the bird, I used a couple of Copic markers to create a little pointillism background around him. Then I sponged on distress ink after I die cut the image. I used a 'feather' texture plate to create my background paper. After I ran it thru my Cuttlebug, I lightly went over the rasied bits with a distress ink pad. Then I took a gold ink pad and dabbed on some of that. And finally, I gave it a blast of shimmer spray.

That's all I have for today. Thanks for stopping in, I appreciate the visit. Don't forget to visit the Team blog to be inspired by the other DT members.

Blessings~
