Design Team Share Day

Hello Friends! It's time for another MelJen's Designs, Design Team Share Day! Wow! What a mouth full! Anyhooo...I was inspired once again, by a card I spied in one of our Thursday challenges. A very talented card crafter, Henriette created a darling card featuring Country Jam Jar. I have been intrigued by all of the Mason Jar cards, I've been seeing on Pinterest, so I picked up Country Jam Jar from the Shop. I just had it sitting in my file, knowing I would get to it eventually. BUT...when I saw Henriette's card HERE, I knew I had to print a few jars out and fill 'em up with something good!

This image includes three sentiments. I chose to remove the sentiment and fill the jar with a stamped strawberry image. That's what is so fun about using Mason Jars, you can fill 'em up with whatever you desire. I printed my image on Neenah white card stock. I stamped the berries with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic markers. I added a little light blue to the outer areas of the jar, to make it look more like glass. The jar topper is paper pieced. The little star buttons are paper pieced as well, but I cut two out and adhered them together, added some gloss to them, so they have some dimension and shine like real buttons.

I added lots of sparkle, too; using a glitter pen and glitter. It seems like a card can't leave my creation station without being 'blinged'! I fussy cut the jar out and mounted it onto the background paper with dimensional adhesive. The greeting has been embossed, so it's shiny, too. And finally, I tied on a bit of ribbon to finish the card.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings~
