Welcome Baby

Hello Friends! I realized that I didn't have any cards to welcome a new baby. And after seeing this cute card HERE, created by the very talented Kristina Werner, I knew just what I wanted to do. I used one of the newest digital stamps from MelJen's Designs...Stuffed Little Lion.

Isn't he cute? I printed him onto card stock and cut him out with my Silhouette Cameo. Then I paper pieced him and colored his mane, tail and feet with Copic markers. For my card base, I used a dot stamp and Versamark ink. That was a lot of fun! I've had that stamp set for a few years and its never seen ink. I will definitely be using that again. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark, too and embossed it with brown powder, then finished it off by cutting a banner end. Guess where I added my signature sparkle?

On his tail and his mane! It looks so pretty in real life. I gave him a bitty bow, adhered him with dimensionals then added some dashed lines around the image to finish it off.

If you haven't been to the MelJen's Designs Shop lately, hop on over! Melissa has gone mad and she's adding new digis almost daily! I can barely keep up!

That's all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings~

Oh goodness, this is so adorable, Barb! Love the paper piecing on the lion itself and the coloring. How fun that you used a stamp set you hadn't gotten inky yet. It looks great. And I adore that you used your signature sparkle on the mane and tail. Fabulous work!

Barb, this is the cutest card! I love the darling image - your coloring is perfect. The background is a real standout. The background dots nicely mirror the dots on the lion. And you know I love the bling!!
