LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS!
Create a project for a boy or man.
When this challenge came across my desk, my first thought was, oh no! I don't make masculine cards. I'm the everything is sparkly and pretty girl. Soooo...I went to the Shop and clicked on the For Guys tab and guess what? The Shop is LOADED with digital stamps that are PERFECT for guys! There were so many that I had a hard time deciding on just one!
But, in the end, I decided to feature the Rockin' Guitar, because I knew I had the perfect sentiment to go along with it. I hope you like it...click on the pictures to enlarge them.
I printed the guitar onto my favorite card stock, die cut it with my Cameo and colored it with Copic markers. Then I added bling with a glitter pen and a gold Wink of Stella brush. Yes, I decided to bling up this guy card, I think it works! Anyway...after coloring, I added a nice amount of Glossy Accents to the image and I let it dry for two days. I did that because it was really warm at my house and I wanted to be sure that it was completely dry before I touched it. I didn't want my big ol' fingerprint left on the guitar. The Glossy Accents left the image really shiny, like a real guitar. I love the way it turned out! And I sponged on some distress ink to tone down the white card stock.
Next, I embossed my sentiment and adhered that piece down. I adhered the guitar with dimensional adhesive and finally added a few, okay more than a few sequins. Really love your card the layout & colours are great, just perfect hugs xx
Dudette! This is awesome! You created a fabulous card. Love what you did with the guitar. Just the right amount of sparkle in a completely appropriate way. I like the choice for the background circle with the rays coming out. All around terrific!
This is a very cool guy card, Barb. That guitar pops. The design and colors are excellent. Love the gold WOS and the sequins.
