Mother's Day Tulips

Hello Friends! Happy Sunday! Today I have a Mother's Day card to share. I used this image a few months ago on THIS card. I love the tulips because they are so much fun to color.

This time I opted not to use the Mason Jar and my color palette was inspired by the patterned paper I used. It's from Stampin' Up! and it's called Watercolor Wonder. The colors and patterns in this paper pack are so pretty and fun!

Anyway...back to the card. I stamped the image onto watercolor paper using Versamark ink and I embossed it with brown embossing powder. Then, I watercolored the image using ink that I transferred from various ink pads. Stampin' Up! has gradient shades of the same color in some of their ink pads. So, I put those to use to create shade and shadow on the image. I used Distress Ink to color the blue background. I mounted the focal image with dimensional adhesive. I added a few sequins and a sentiment to finish it off.

After the image was dry, I added lots of sparkle with a Wink of Stella glitter brush. Can you tell I'm having a love affair with the Pretty Pink Posh sequins?! Oh my goodness! They are getting adhered to EVERYTHING that I create these days! The sparkle on these sequins is AMAZING!

Well, that's all I have for you today. Thank you for visiting!

Blessings~

Your delicate blue background really makes the tulips stand out, Barb. Your coloring and shading is just magnificent. You really work the WOS - love all the sparkle! I wish I had even half your coloring skill :)
