Happy 4th of July!

Hello Friends! Happy 4th of July to my American friends! I'm popping in with a quick card today. Last year, I purchased this Happy 4th stamp set from Lawn Fawn and I didn't use it. So, I decided to ink it up! It's a really fun set, with fireworks bursts and a cute rocket and a few sentiments. It's also versatile in that, I've used the fireworks bursts on birthday cards, anniversary cards, they would work on any celebratory card, really. Ok...onto the card.

I wanted this to be a one layer card, but...I just couldn't do it. I came close, though! I am really a layers kinda gal and I think the Moonstruck dark blue paper from Close to My Heart is the perfect frame for this card. So...I did lots of stamping and layering of stamps. I have been on the lookout for a nice red ink pad. And this month, included in the July Simon Says Stamp card kit, was a Lipstick Red SSS exclusive ink pad...and I just LOVE it and it looks great paired with the CTMH Moonstruck ink. I added some gold star sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and those silver stars are die cuts using glitter paper from Stampin' Up! along with the star die from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling die set. I stamped the little rockets a few times and adhered them with foam tape. The fireworks and the rockets have a bit of sparkle from a clear Wink of Stella brush.

I finished the inside of the card, too...

And that's it for my card today. For all of you who celebrate the 4th of July...have a wonderful, safe and happy holiday. Thank you for visiting me! I appreciate it.

Blessings~

Ohhhh, I know I'm late to the party, but this is a fantastic patriotic card, Barb. I'm so glad you got to use it for its intended purpose. And yay that you can also use it for other celebratory cards. Love stamps like that! :)
