Day 26 - 30 Day Coloring Challenge

Hello Friends! Welcome to Sunday. The 30 Day Coloring Challenge is almost over! But, I hear there may be another 30 Day Challenge in the works. We'll just have to wait and see. I kept it simple this afternoon...I colored, no card, just coloring.

Here is the cast of characters.

It's Palm Sunday, so I decided to color this beautifully illustrated cross. I stamped the image onto Cryogen White card stock, using Memento Epresso Truffle ink. I usually reserve my Cryogen card stock for printing digital stamps, but I wanted to try it out with traditional stamping today. And honestly, I'm not sure what it is, but, something was a bit off. My markers kept bleeding. So, I had to re-stamp a few times. Eh! It was probably user error, sometimes I have a heavy hand.

Anywho...Here is what I've done so far. I need to add some grounding shadows and then make a card.

I created a mask for the cross so I could brush on some blue and green ink, for sky and ground. It's barely noticeable in the photo, but it's there! I've colored this image in the past and kept the cloth white. Recently, I saw it out in blogland colored a few different colors including red, purple and blue and I thought the purple was lovely. It signifies royalty and that is what I believe Jesus is...The King of Kings.

That's all I have for today. Thank you soooo much for dropping by. And thank you to my new friends sent from Darnell! I appreciate all of you so very much and your comments and questions help me get through my tough days.

Blessings~

Beautiful work, Barb. I'm sorry that you had a bit of a time of it getting the image colored. That had to be frustrating, but your perseverance paid off for this is beautiful. I hope that you have a lovely week.

This is beautifully done, Barb. Your efforts were well worth it. The purple cloth is an excellent color choice. The deckle die is always striking. I love how you apply color around the image.
