Power Poppy ~ Graceful Still Life

Hello Friends! So here we are, it's the 15th of February and that means there is a new digi for your collection in the Power Poppy shop. It's another beauty! This one is called Graceful Still Life.

This is so beautiful. The dotted pitcher filled with dogwood and roses is just gorgeous. And the gardening hat perched just so on the books...I swoon! I love creating little still life vignettes around my home. Something like this would be right at home in my bedroom

For my card today, I've kept things super simple. I wanted to really showcase the image and I wanted to take my own sweet time coloring it and not worrying about card design. I don't know about you but, sometimes, I just want to color without considering how the finished card will look. So. That is what I did here. I sat down and colored.

I printed the image onto Papertrey Ink Rustic White card stock. And then I went at with my Copic markers and my Polychromos colored pencils. I laid down a base color with my Copics and then used the colored pencils for shading and to create shadows.  Super fun image to color! I dusted on a little Antique Linen Distress ink around the edges of the panel. Then, I added Crystal Effects, Clear Wink of Stella and Clear Stardust glitter pen here and there. And I finished the panel off with a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

That is it for me today. Please visit the Power Poppy blog to see what my Teammates have created to share with you.

Blessings~

Oh, Barb, this is gorgeous, and I love this beautiful still life scene with your wonderful coloring! And you're right that this needs nothing else but a beautiful die, shading, sequins, and a lovely piece of designer paper! I love it!! Hugs, sweet friend!

I just love how you combine Copics and colored pencils. Your card is stunning. Unfortunately, coloring does not relax me. My skills are lacking so I never am at ease coloring. I wish I had your mad skills...
