Hello, Friends! I am back today with the next set in the Power Poppy Quiet Christmas release. This gorgeous set is called, Enchanted Branches:Nativity. There are so many things I love about this set; the sweet sleeping Baby Jesus, the darling little lambs and the glorious angel who we all think bears quite a resemblance to our real life angel and Power Poppy illustrator, Marcella. And can we just appreciate the lettering and fonts used on the greetings and sentiments?! SO gorgeous! These words would look AMAZING embossed or foiled. The versatility with this set is that the images can be stamped as ornaments using the hook and cap stamps which would then be stamped on a branch OR they can be used as stand alone images, which is what I've done on my card. SO many options. This will definitely be one set that I use for years to come.
Here is my card...
I printed the image on a Strathmore Colored Pencil paper and I colored it with Caran D'Ache Luminance, Prismacolor and Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils. The camera couldn't capture the sparkle; I used gold ink, a gold pen and a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush. LOTS of sparkle on this one! I'm keeping my post short and sweet today. It's Saturday and I don't want to keep you here too long sooo....that's it for me.
Thank you for stopping by! Please visit the Power Poppy blog to see what my team mates have created to share with you. I'll meet you back here tomorrow for the next reveal! Enjoy the rest of your day!
What a beautiful and elegant card, Barbara. Your coloring is just fantastic. I can well imagine the sparkle, but please know how lovely this is without the sparkle shining through. Wonderful work. Hugs!
How sweet is this Ms. Barbara??? I absolutely love the soft texture created by colored pencils. Just makes this image look all the sweeter! How did you create the rays - is that a separate stamp or stencil -- so perfect!!!
Again your colored pencil work, totally need to learn from these cards. Beautiful and I like the designer paper behind.
