Happy Birthday Card for Paul

I needed a super quick birthday card for my step dad. Last year, I made him a digital card, but this time I wanted to use my stamps. I reached for the Pond Life stamp set again, since it was already on my work surface. I didn't want to spend a lot of time with this one, but I wanted something nice. I really like this stamp set, sooo there will probably be a few more posts featuring it.

I used more Prism paper and I finally got to put my new Scor-Pal to work! I am loving those Tsukineko VersaMagic Chalk Inks for my stamps. The coverage and the colors are great and they can be blended, for shading, right on the stamp. I also like the size of the little Dew Drops and they look so cute sitting on the shelf.

I used my Scor-Pal to make these ribbon tracks. I can tell I am going to get a lot of usage from this handy tool. I think that scoring adds elegance and class without a lot of work. I see many more scored cards in my future!

Credits-Cardstock:Pale Peach,Prism.Stamps:Pond Life and Birthday Basics,Papertrey Ink. Ink:Eggplant,Pumpkin Spice,Jumbo Java,Tea Leaves,Tsukineko VersaMagic Dew Drop Chalk Ink.Ribbon:Chocolate Brown Grosgrain-Offray.Other:Scor-Pal.

Thanks for visiting! Have a blessed day.

I really like that card, Barb. I haven't bought that set...yet -- you're making me re-think that purchase with your masculine cards here today (oh, darn! -lol).

I like how you made the tracks for the ribbon with your Scor-Pal -- I'd never think to do that. And here I thought it was a wonderful tool to have even before you showed me that little trick! I'm looking forward to seeing what else you can come up with using it. ;)

Your masculine cards are awesome Barb! Your card is clean yet beautiful and perfect for a male. Your step-dad is going to love it.

Wow. Impressive. I like the ribbon tracks. Nice card, too. Simple, but says a lot. Great colors. TFS!
