Ian the Graduate

It is that time of year! I have so many graduation cards to make and this little Ian is my first one. Ian is a digital image I purchased from The Greeting Farm. I think he's adorable and he was so much fun to color using my Copic markers.

I thought the Good Times paper pack from CTMH was perfect for this occasion, and a great color palette for a male.

I fashioned a simple pocket on the inside to hold the grad gift, either money or a gift card. After I stamped my sentiment, I cut it out using the same Nestie I used on the front of the card. The little star on top of the sentiment is from a Limited Edition Anniversary Set, called Everyday Classics, from Papertrey Ink. I was so excited when that package arrived in the mail! The set is lovely and chock full of images and sentiments that I am sure will get a lot of use. Unfortunately, it is not for sale, it was a 'thank you' gift from PTI. If you click on the link, you will see how you can receive the next anniversary set.

Supplies-card stock and papers:Good Times level 2 paper pack(CTMH). digital image:Grad Ian(The Greeting Farm). stamps:ClearStamps(Studio G). Say It In Style(CTMH). Birthday Basics(PTI). Scattered Showers(PTI). Everyday Classics(PTI) ink:Chocolate, Sweet Leaf(CTMH). Copic markers.

I am certainly looking forward to the 3-day weekend! Only 8 more days of school and then the girls will be home. YIPEE!! That is the best part about Summer for me...having them at home. We don't have any major plans for the weekend...just hanging out by the pool, doing a lot of grilling, having visits from family, roasting marshmallows over the firepit at night, reading...just relaxing.

Thanks for the visit! I hope you have a fabulous weekend and I'll be right back here on Tuesday.

Blessings~

That is a lovely card! I've never tried a digital image before...maybe someday...I really like how you decorated the card interior, too!

Excellent work, Barb. I think I might have to pick up that image for future use. Thought I could use it this year, but the kiddos I had in mind moved on to new schools last year! Oops. Bad friend.

And...I'm considering trying to do a modified digi project for the summer. Something like...What We Did on our Summer Vacation...you are not bad, just supportive and encouraging. I read a post by Wendy T that fired me back up for scrapping...We'll see how it goes.

Barb, this card is totally awesome! I love how you used the Good Times paper, especially the star pattern with the nestabilities.

The inside of the card is so cool! Love the money slot. You Rock!
