When Pigs Fly...

It's New Release Day over at DZ Doodles! Diane has so many wonderful images for you to create your holiday cards...get on over there and take a look! When I was approached with the winged Santa pig, I thought...okay...I'll give it my best shot. Well, here he is...aptly named When Pigs Fly. I've used this card sketch before and thought I'd pull it out once again. I printed the image a couple of times, so I could cut out the wings to add some dimension. The wings get their sparkle from a dusting of Dazzling Diamonds. Click on the image to enlarge it to see the details. I used a scallop edge punch to create the border on the New Leaf cs and then I used my Crop-a-Dile to punch the holes in the scallops. I think the little fella is really cute and look, he's smiling at you!

Well Barb...I have now officially seen it all!!! A flying Santa pig? Cracking me up here. No one but you could have so masterfully made such a gorgeous card with this image. I am very impressed!

Oh, funny! You did an awesome job with the pig. His wings are beautiful, and your coloring is, as always, superb.

"When pigs fly," is something I say frequently enough... usually to the hubby. LOL. Additionally, I grew up with a hog barn and pig pen that was visible from the kitchen window. Our pigs, for which I had little affection, had no wings and never smiled. LOL.

Thanks for the smiles your post brought to my face.

Have a great weekend!

I'm giggling like crazy over here as I look at your wonderfully colored and creative card. I'm also giggling at Kathi's comment.

I've used that phrase a time to two in my life. You've done an excellent job showcasing this image, my friend!
