CAS2-Homework Day 2

Hello Friends! Quick post tonight, time got away from me and it's getting late. Today the class focus was on One Layer Cards. The trick here is creating a card that makes a statement. Something that catches the eye without the use of multiple layers. I tell you what...it just isn't as easy as it sounds. I like layers, I like patterned paper, I like bling. Well.

Here it is folks....

The lighting in my studio was really wonky this evening! I just could not capture the sparkle on this card. Okay, so what I ended up doing was, stamping a single heart using an Essential Glue Pad then covering the image with micro fine glitter and burnishing it with my finger to make it smooth and velvety. I stamped the Be Mine in chocolate ink and that was that!

I tried to get a close up...

You can see a little sparkle there...It is very pretty in real life. The color of the glitter is a blush tone and it looks great on the white card stock. It really pops!

Beautiful, Barb! I heartily agree that CAS cards usually are more difficult than ones with lots of bells and whistles. When you get it right, like you have here, it's fabulous.
