Father's Day Cards

Hello Friends! I've got a quick post to share today. I attended another card workshop with my sweet friend, Caryl, this time we made Father's Day cards.

I just love this card!  I stamped the watch twice and used a circle punch to cut one of the faces out. Then, I applied some Crystal Effects and added rhinestone to a the twelve mark. It looks very cool in real life; shiny like a real watch. And try as I might to capture it with my camera, I just couldn't do it. The face is adhered to the main watch with Stampin' Dimensionals. I did a little embossing on the Midnight Muse card stock with the Argyle embossing folder. Clean, simple and classy. Caryl is a good designer!

This next card is also super cool! It sold within minutes...

Pretty neat, huh? The silver you see is aluminum tape. Yep! Purchased from the hardware store, used to tape appliances, I believe. We taped it to card stock and embossed it with a chevron embossing folder. It's so slick and shiny, and it adds GREAT texture. The car is stamped onto watercolor paper with StazOn ink and then colored with a blender pen and ink from the lid of the ink pad. That little 'tool' embellishment is created from several Stampin' Up! punches. SO CUTE! One of the ladies in my women's group saw this one and quickly snapped it up!

I am entering the car card into the TRANSPORT challenge, issued by Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog.

That's all I have for now. Thank you so much for dropping in today!

Blessings~

Wonderful Father's Day cards, Barb. The embossed silver tape really catches the eye, and you colored the car beautifully. On the first card, I love the watch - it's very appealing as a focal point. I bet it is really striking in real life. Thanks for sharing :)

Wow, wow, WoW, Barb! Both these cards are absolutely awesome! The watch looks very realistic, down to the bling on the face. And the neat idea with the tape. Amazing. I can believe it was snatched up. You rock the masculine cards, my friend!!
