Thursday Challenge @ MelJen's Designs

Hello Friends! It's Thursday and that means it's time for our Thursday Challenge at MelJen's Designs! This week we have something super fun. We are calling this challenge

"MAKING THE GRADE"
You are to use school supplies on your project.

Sounds like fun, right? Yes! I chose to feature the Back 2 School Pencil digital stamp.

I printed the image onto my favorite iridescent white card stock and colored it up with Copic markers. I used my favorite #2 pencils by Ticonderoga as my model for the coloring. The focal was die cut with a Nestie and then dusted with Antique Linen Distress Ink. I've had the patterned papers for quite a while, they are from Karen Foster, left over from my scrapbooking days. For my school supplies, I added a bitty paper clip and a few staples.

And here is what the inside looks like.

I've had these stickers in my scrap stash for some time, as well. I thought, heck! Might as well pull 'em out and use 'em! More Karen Foster paper was used on the inside. Super fun stuff! And just a little FYI...there are new digital stamps being added to the Shop on an on-going basis. We no longer have 'new release' week, so be sure to pop on over to the Shop and take a look at What's New.

I hope you make some time to play along with us at MelJen's this week. Remember, you must use a MelJen's Design image to be included in the random drawing to win FREE digital stamps of your choice. Please take a moment to stop by the Design Team blog to view the amazing samples the ladies have created to share with you.

Thanks for the visit! I appreciate you!

Blessings~

I give you an A+ on this card, Barb! Great job coloring and adding terrific details that make your card shine. I like the stickers and that you added a liner to the envelope, too.
