Hello Friends! Today is my turn to share inspiration on the MelJen's Designs DT blog and I thought I would share that project here, on my own blog, as well.
I drew inspiration from two things...wanting to encourage others to create and the patterned papers in a paper pad I recently purchased.
Okay...here's the dirt. I visit a lot of blogs. I watch a lot of videos and I'm on Pinterest a few times a day. There are A LOT of talented crafters out there and sometimes, I get a bit overwhelmed and I ask myself...WHY DO YOU EVEN BOTHER DOING THIS?! NO ONE CARES! Then after I calm down, I tell myself, you do it because you care and because if it makes just ONE persons' day, then my efforts are a success. End of rant.
Here is the card I created to share with you. I chose to feature the Artist Mug, because we are ALL artists and we all have something to contribute. You can click on the images to enlarge them.
I encourage you all to be creative and just enjoy the journey...Thanks for stopping by today.
Blessings~

I printed the image onto watercolor paper and taking color cues from the patterned paper pad, I used Distress markers to water color it. I die cut the focal and sponged on a little Distress ink. Although it does not show in the picture above, the image is loaded with sparkle!
I added sequins and rhinestones and Glossy Accents and glitter pen.
I encourage you all to be creative and just enjoy the journey...Thanks for stopping by today.

Thank you for this post, Barb. I'm sorry to hear that you have questioned yourself and why you create. To me, your talent is tremendous! You definitely don't get the credit or recognition you deserve. The watercoloring on this card is terrific. I'm always impressed by your coloring talents. And you know I love your bling. I hope you continue to create for the joy it brings you. Big hugs!!
Barb, you always inspire me. This is a beautiful card. I love the design and composition. Your coloring is superb as always. I visit your blog virtually daily because your work is so beautiful, artistic and fun. I have learned a lot from you. I only wish I had half your talent. Please know that I admire your artistry very much - keep creating, girl friend!
