Still In Love with Watercoloring

Hello Friends! Happy Friday! I treated myself to a set of Gansai Tambi watercolors for Christmas. These are highly pigmented, super creamy watercolors from Japan and they are just dreamy!

I've created a card with them and that is what I'm sharing with you today. It's clean and simple, so the watercolored image is the star. I used the Persian Motifs stamp set from Altenew. It's one of my favorites to use with watercolor.

I started off my project by stamping the image in Versamark ink onto Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock and embossing it with WOW Pearl Embossing powder. Then I taped the cardstock onto a board and selected the watercolors I desired. I like that the colors can be removed from the main unit. This way everything stays nice and tidy.

Let me just say here, that I love the light that streams into my studio in the afternoon. It's so calming and casts the perfect amount of warm sunlight for creating. So next, I wet each petal with clear water and then added the paint. The paint glides on so smoothly and they blend nicely, too. After I finished painting, I set it aside to dry. And worked on the inside of my card...

I stamped the same floral image with ink that coordinated with the card stock and then stamped my greeting using an exclusive Simon Says Stamp set called Birthday Balloons, in two colors over top. I added a layer of matting and adhered it to the inside of my card.

Once the main panel was dry, I added the sentiment and a decorative punched border of card stock for an extra pop of color. Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins were the finishing touch for this clean and simple birthday card.

The card is a 4-bar size, so I created an envelope for it using my WeRMemory Keepers Envelope Punch Board. Quick, fun and easy!

And that is the card share for today. I hope you all like it. Leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.

Thank you for stopping by today. Have a fabulous weekend!

Blessings~
