30 Day Coloring Challenge 3 - Day Eight

Hello Friends! And Happy Thursday to you! I had a really busy day, that didn't leave a lot of time for coloring, BUT, I did manage to sneak in a few precious moments to do a little watercoloring. I still had that sweet pumpkin from yesterday's post on my desk, so I thought why not color it again, but in a different way. So that's exactly what I did.

I used the faux hand painting technique on it! And I have to say, that I really like how it's shaping up.

I started by stamping the pumpkin with Antique Linen Distress ink. Then, I scribbled a few Distress Markers onto an acrylic block and watercolored the image. I used a green Zig Clean Color Real Brush pen for the green. And, I used a damp brush to have better control of where the color went. It's helpful to have the image stamped in a dark ink or use the packaging for reference. Those light lines sometimes play tricks with my eyes!

I still have a bit more to do before I can call it finished and put it on a card. Hopefully tomorrow my day will work out a bit differently.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a good one!

Blessings~

Thanks for showing us your process, Barb. Do you cut your focal panel before or after you color your image? Just wondering if the tape leaves a residue.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with this cute li'l pumpkin. ;)
