30 Day Coloring Challenge 3 - Day 12

Hello Friends! After a busy, but fun weekend, I just needed to unwind with something simple, simple, simple. So that's what I have for you today. I decided to pull out one of my Karla Dornacher digital prints.

I stepped out of my comfort zone a tiny bit, as well, and I colored this with gel pens. I purchased the pens with my adult coloring books in mind, so I thought they would work just fine with this image.

I used the glitter pens for most of my coloring-SURPRISE!-LoL! So, this card is very sparkly! I also used the metallic pens, which added a subtle shimmer. I tried to capture the sparkle. And as if this card needed any more shiny things...I added two bitty gold glitter butterflies to the panel.

Coloring with the gel pens was a very different experience. NO BLENDING. After I got over that, all went well. :) I think I will reserve the gel pens for my coloring books, though.

And that's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings~

Those Karla images are so sweet! I've written down her Etsy site and will get to that probably after the Holiday Card making task is finished! Very cool Barb!

So pretty, Barb! I think the gel pens look great here. I know our tendency is to want to blend, blend, blend, but sometimes just straight up coloring is the call for the day. You've created a truly beautiful card. Too bad the sparkle didn't show up as much as you wanted, but I can envision how pretty it looks. I really like how you also already made it into a lovely card. Those little gold butterflies are amazing! Love it!

Very pretty, Barb! Another piece of your beautifully colored Karla eye candy. ;) It's really interesting how differently things look depending on the type of pens/markers/pencils being used. Love all the glitter/sparkle on this card and the gold butterflies are a fun touch!
