30 Day Coloring Challenge 3 - Day Six

Hello Friends! And Happy Tuesday to you! In my house we have Taco Tuesday. Do any of you do that, as well? Back in the olden days-LoL! my husband was the chief Taco Maker, but he's passed the taco making duties on to our eldest daughter and she does such a wonderful job with them. Our youngest daughter does the slicing and dicing of all the veggies, etc. And all I have to do is show up and eat them! I'm getting hungry just thinking about them.

I received a request for a sunflower birthday card. And without hesitation, I reached for the Sunshine and Smiles stamp set from Clearly Besotted. I love the sunflower in this set and I love watercoloring it with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens.

That is exactly what I did for this card. After the image was dry, I added Clear Wink of Stella to each petal.  To finish the card, I added a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh sequins to highlight the greeting.

Here is a look at the inside of the card.

I used a light ink to stamp the sunflower on the inside, too. It adds interest, but a message can still be written over it. The sentiment is from the Birthday Basics set from Papertrey Ink. I like this set not only for all of the messages it contains, but also because there are 'fill in' words, like the laughter and love that are separate stamps, so they can be stamped in different colors. It's just another way to add interest to the card.

And that is it for today. Thank you for stopping by.

Blessings~

Yum, Taco Tuesday sounds delicious! Especially the part where you just show up to eat them. Yum-my! Enjoy! Your sunflower is delightful. I'm not sure I could look at a sunflower and not feel at least a little bit happy. The way you've watercolored it is just beautiful. Thank you for reminding me to decorate the inside just a bit, too. I'm not very good at that. You do that so very well. Have a great day, Barb! Thanks for sharing!! Hugs!

How fortunate you are that the whole family gets involved in your Taco Tuesdays. I rather like your role. ;) No Taco Tuesday here. We do quesadillas every Monday, and we did Pizza Friday for years but now we have nachos every Friday. {A couple years ago my son decided he no longer liked the crust recipes I was experimenting with...but last night I made foccacia and he said he enjoyed that --almost an identical crust recipe I've been using for well over a year for pizza, so go figure-- maybe Pizza Friday will make a comeback?? Kids --gotta love 'em....}

Your sunflower card is another stunner! I really like how you can't see the stamped outline so it looks like you drew it yourself {oh, to be that gifted!}. Your coloring is gorgeous and the sequins really so set off the sentiment. Beautiful patterned paper choices too.
