The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge ~ Day Six

Hello Friends! How's your Sunday going? I had a super lazy day today and didn't get into my studio until late afternoon. I could not believe how warm it was in my neck of the woods this weekend! I had on my air conditioning and I was running around in a sleeveless sundress and sandals! But...that's the joy or curse of living in sunny Southern California!

Sooo...since it was so hot today, I decided to color up some frosty treats for my color share. I pulled out one of my all-time favorite Simon Says Stamp sets, called Ice Cream Dream. I used the ice cream on a cone and created a really simple card. This one is for a guy, so simple is best.

First, I die cut a panel with the Stitched Rectangle die. Then, using my MISTI, I stamped the images and the greeting, with brown ink. I colored the images with my Polychromos and this time, I blended it out with gamsol and a blending stump.

I can't even express how badly I wanted to add sequins to this card! Or glitter! Or even Crystal Effects! I kept telling myself that this is a guy's card, so forget about the bling. But then something came over me and I grabbed my clear Wink of Stella glitter pen and well...look what I did.

It's just a little sparkle, right? LoL! Next, I matted the focal panel onto blue card stock and adhered it onto my card base with dimensional adhesive. And that was that!

Thank you for stopping in today!

Blessings~

Oh this just makes me smile, Barb! Your coloring is so wonderful. I kept admiring the color and shading you achieved. And hey, if you are feeling the bling, you gotta add it! You can't go wrong with Doodlebug paper, either. I think it's a great guy card! :) Hugs!

I think the WOS sparkle works for this guy card, Barb. Great coloring as always, and I really like the sentiment :)
