Power Poppy ~ Autumn's Opulence

Hello, Friends! Whew! What a whirlwind we've been in for the past few weeks! Our dear sweet Peep-in-Chief and Illustrator Extraordinare, Marcella got married last Saturday! There was so much excitement and anticipation within our Power Poppy family. And now...we can relax and enjoy the afterglow. If you haven't already, please take a moment to visit the Power Poppy blog to leave your well wishes for the happy couple and to see the blog list for the designers who participated in a special wedding hop for Marcy and Doug. And...It's finally Autumn! Yaaay! It's also Day 28 of The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge. Are you coloring along? I did a little coloring here and there, nothing special, really. That's the beauty of the challenge...you jump in when you can and you share if you want to.

Well, today, I have a remixed digi to share with you. This one is a beautiful celebration of my favorite season. The set includes a gorgeous burst of Fall florals and two lovely sentiments. It's called Autumn's Opulence and I know you're going to love it!

Mum's definitely the word when you color up this opulent fall bouquet — three mums, to be precise. Add in a mixture of fall favorites like Asters, Daisies, Oak Leaves, and Berries, and you have a large-scale image that's ideal when used on big, bold cards! Or make an autumnal statement by enlarging this one to be an entire background, or just focus on a few of the flowers and leave the rest as outlines. There are so many possibilities!

I printed my image onto a piece of Papertrey Ink's Rustic Cream card stock. I love the little flecks of color on this card stock and I think it's lovely for Autumn themed cards. The image is colored with colored pencils. I used both Polychromos and PrismaColor. I die cut the image using an oval Nestie and then brushed on a little Antique Linen Distress ink. The berries have a bit of clear Wink of Stella and Crystal Effects on them.

Here's a look at the inside of the card...

I used the sentiment from the set and changed the color to green. It doesn't look like it here, but it's the same green as the "Happy Fall" on the front of the card. I used a bit of the same patterned paper from the front of the card, also, to tie everything together.

That's all I have for you today. Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate the visit.

Blessings~

So happy to see you, Barb! Or rather, to see some of your beautiful handiwork. What a beautiful card! It looks so pretty with just a portion of the stamp used for coloring. Your coloring is gorgeous! I adore the gingham and the scallops. Oh my, sweet friend, you know just how to make a card an extra special event! Thank you so much for sharing! Big, happy hugs!! :)

Barbara - so pretty - I really love how you used just part of this very intimidating image! Your oval with the flowers is perfect! Just enough. AND I'm glad to hear you used pencils and OMS - I have been wanting to get back to using my pencils. Thanks for the inspiration! Hugs!!

Love how you’ve oriented the bouquet going horizontally, it really looks so lush and is prefect for your beautiful colouring!
