I Really Like Green

I didn't realize it until I started making St. Patrick's Day cards, but I really like green. The idea for my cards came from HERE. I am always excited when I find new ways to use my tools. This shamrock is created using the SU! heart punch and heart emboss-lit I purchased for Valentine's Day! LOVE it!!

These were very easy to mass produce once I got the basic design in mind. I used Sweet Leaf ink and card stock from CTMH and New Leaf ink, card stock and buttons from PTI. On the middle card, I used Basic Grey Origins paper. I random stamped the bitty shamrocks, using a stamp from my Irish Blessings set and the insides are finished with various blessings from the same set. The greeting on the outside is from SU!'s Teeny Tiny Wishes set. The hearts are popped up on dimensionals and each card was given a spritz or three of my home made shimmer spray. The sparkle on these is UNBELIEVABLE!! With all that spritzing, I also discovered that I really like the smell of isopropyl alcohol...something I need to work out of my system, I'm sure.

Anyway...plan to stop by tomorrow, I'm hoping to join the Waltzing Mouse St. Patrick's Day blog hop. I'm still working on my card and can't seem to get it 'just right'. *Sighs*

Our weather has been gorgeous! I believe it was low 80's yesterday, today should be the same. We've got sunshine for miles, although I do see some light clouds in the distance, hovering over the mountains. Honestly, I am not ready to let go of winter. I do love spring, but after that comes summer...the season I love to hate! Oh well, I try to make a point to enjoy the best of each season and summer does bring some delicious fruit, right?

I hope each of you has a glorious day!

Blessings~

Fabulous cards, Barb! Green is such a hopeful color isn't it?

Giggling at the smell comment. *Ü*

Gotta say, though, I was also admiring the beautiful piece you have your cards sitting on in the photograph, it reminds me of some of the beautiful pieces my mom had (that I never appreciated at the time). I want to call it a doily, but I don't think that is the correct term. It's too early for me yet.

Love your happy blog background, too! And that sweet fluttering butterfly!

Have a wonderful day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day, Barb! I love these cards. I have the punch, but I haven't purchased the embossed one YET...hee hee! Oh, I am going to have to do these next year.

Hey, could you send some of your gorgeous weather this way? We have been waiting for the sun for about five days now. I think it is supposed to shine through the clouds today. YAY!

Love your new blog theme! I can't wait to see what you have for us tomorrow.

HUGS!

These are so pretty, Barb! I love that you used the heart tools to make the shamrocks --very clever! And very cool that you're making your own shimmer spray too...and even better if it smells good (just don't enjoy it too much -lol)!
