Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge Week #13

I'm still blogging in 'the dark'. I hope my blog looks okay, because I can not see any graphics...only text. Every now and then the computer will let me see a picture, but not too often. You can image my frustration!

The one good thing about not having a computer is that it forces me to spend more time in my Studio. I've been cleaning and organizing. It's amazing how much stuff I've accumulated over the years. I really do need to stop purchasing things and use what I have.

I was able to participate in Sparkle's Challenge this week. We were to create any type of Christmas card we wanted. The stamp that I used is by Hero Arts and it's 21 years old, I've probably used it twice. I decided to pair it with the Aspen papers from CTMH-love this pack-and some textured Twilight card stock. The felt snowflake embellies are also Hero Arts and the clear jewels are Kaisercraft. My focal image is stamped on a 'Hug' from Stampin' Up! These are pre-cut pieces of card stock and they are so much fun to use! They are in the Occasions Mini-Catalog right now. After I stamped my image, I pressed it onto a Versamark ink pad and then sprinkled on some Iridescent Ice ep, also from SU! It imparts a wonderful sparkle, that perfectly compliments the cozy cottages.

I attempted a close up, so you could see the sparkle from the embossing powder. So easy to do and such a nice effect.

I'm glad you stopped by today. And thank you so much for bearing with me thru my computer woes...please let me know if my pics are goofy, or if my blog looks funny. I attempted to take off the Valentine's Day look, I hope I was successful. I can only see my blog banner! Ahhh! I don't know how much longer I'm going to be able to tolerate this.

Have a great day!

Blessings~

Your card is beautiful and your blog looks great. Hard to believe you are posting "in the dark."

Your card is lovely! Your Alice in Wonderland countdown probably isn't where you want it, as its on the very top of your blog.

Your card is so gorgeous Barb. I love the blues and all the sparkle. From my end, your blog looks fine. How frustrating for you.

Barb, your card is fabulous! Love the bling with the glitter.

And I would never have known you were blogging in the "dark" as your blog looks wonderful to me. Love that butterfly fluttering around. *Ü*

While you may be excited about Alice in Wonderland, seeing that wild looking face first thing when you blog loads up is just a teensy weensy disconerting to me. (I'm a wimp and it just makes me think of It from Stephen King) LOL

I love how you embossed the entire panel --looks just like there's snow all around...perfect for your image! Very pretty card, Barb!

And I can't believe you tweaked your blog in the dark!! You did a beautiful job with it...much better than I'd do with everything all there for me to see. lol Love the header and that pretty butterfly is so much fun. ;)

I'm with you in that I shouldn't be buying anything new and just using all that I already have (and sitting patiently waiting for some attention). Good for you getting organized too! Bet it feels good!
