Thursday Challenge @ MelJens

Hello Friends! It's time for another Thursday Challenge on the MelJen's Designs blog. The challenge this week is a color challenge...
GUMBALL BRIGHTS

Let this colorful picture inspire your project! I can't wait to see what you create. Remember, that you must use a MelJen's Designs image on your project in order to be included in the random drawing for FREE digital stamps! I hope you play along with us, I really enjoy browsing thru the submissions and visiting your blogs! Have fun and good luck!

I created a card featuring this adorable Circus Clown.

Isn't he darling?! I am usually not a big fan of clowns, but this one stole my heart! He's just so dang cute! After printing him, I colored him with Copics, then die cut and inked the background with distress ink. I added sparkly fluff to the pom pon on his hat and a touch of Crystal Effects to his little nose. I also added Crystal Effects to most of the dots on the back ground paper, so now they shine like gumballs! I had those balloon brads left over from a project from long ago, so I decided to pull them out again. My original plan was to have bakers twine go from the balloons to the clown's hands, to look like the clown was holding the balloons. But, something got lost in the translation and I did not like the end result. Good idea in my head, tho!...Ever have any of those kinds of projects? Next, I tied on a bitty bow tie to finish it off. Fun, fun, fun image to color!

**I am also entering this card into the ANYTHING GOES challenge at Simon Says Stamp.**

That's it for me. Please stop by the DT Blog to see what the other team members have created to share with you.

Thanks for the visit!

 Blessings~

So bright and fun, Barb. What a great challenge. I love how you incorporated all the details to add to the sense of whimsy. Too bad the twine didn't work like you hoped, but really the card looks terrific as is. Great job, Barb!!
